Upcoming Apple Products Guide: What's Coming in 2026

Apple's product pipeline for 2026 is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious in the company's history. From the first foldable iPhone to a completely redesigned MacBook Pro with an OLED display, the year promises significant hardware and software upgrades. This guide provides an in-depth overview of every major product expected over the next twelve months, based on current rumors, supply chain reports, and leaked internal code.

March 2026: Apple Experience Launch

The year kicked off with the "Apple Experience" event on March 4 in New York, London, and Shanghai. Apple unveiled a slew of new devices: the iPhone 17e (a low-cost model at $599), the MacBook Air with M5 chip, the iPad Air with M4 chip, M5 Pro and M5 Max MacBook Pro models, the new Studio Display and Studio Display XDR, and the low-cost $599 MacBook Neo. Later in March, the AirPods Max 2 debuted, featuring the H2 chip for improved sound and Active Noise Cancellation. These launches set the stage for a packed year.

Mid-2026: WWDC and Software Updates

At WWDC in June, Apple will preview iOS 27, macOS 27, and all other platform updates. A major focus will be on Apple Intelligence features, powered by an improved Siri engine that is expected to roll out in the months leading up to the conference. Additionally, the Mac Studio is rumored to receive M5 Max and M5 Ultra chip options, offering significant performance gains over the current M5. The M5 Ultra effectively doubles the M5 Max's capabilities, making it ideal for pro workflows.

September 2026: Flagship iPhones and More

September will be the busiest month. The iPhone 18 Pro models are expected to introduce under-display Face ID, eliminating the Dynamic Island in favor of a small hole-punch camera cutout. The A20 Pro chip will be built on Apple's 2nm process, delivering substantial efficiency improvements. A variable aperture main lens could also debut, allowing better low-light photography. The long-rumored iPhone Fold is finally anticipated: a book-style device with a 5.3-inch external display expanding to 7.6 inches internally, a thin 4.5mm profile, and a price tag up to $2,500. It will use an A20 chip, dual rear cameras, and Touch ID on the power button instead of Face ID.

Alongside these iPhones, the Apple Watch Series 12 is due, though it may be a minor chip refresh with no major design changes. The iPad mini 8 is expected to feature an OLED display for the first time, along with a more water-resistant design and a vibration-based speaker system that eliminates speaker holes. It will likely be powered by the same A20 chip as the Pro iPhones. The HomePod mini 2 is reportedly ready but awaits the new Siri rollout; it will feature an updated S-series chip and new color options. Apple's new Home Hub—a smart home display with a 7-inch screen—will also launch, available in wall-mounted and speaker-base versions. Finally, the Apple TV 4K will receive a faster A17 Pro chip and Apple's custom Wi-Fi/Bluetooth chip, enabling console-quality games and Apple Intelligence.

Late 2026: OLED MacBook Pro and Smart Home Camera

Toward the end of the year, Apple is set to release a revamped MacBook Pro with a touchscreen OLED display and a 2-nanometer M6 chip. This model will eliminate the notch in favor of a hole-punch camera, maximizing screen real estate, and will include a reinforced hinge for stable touch interactions. It could launch in late 2026 or slip to early 2027. Apple is also developing an indoor Smart Home Camera that connects to HomeKit and integrates with the Home Hub, potentially arriving in late 2026.

Products with Unknown Release Dates

Several other products are in development but lack firm launch windows. The Mac mini will likely receive M5 and M5 Pro chip updates with no design changes. The low-cost iPad 12 is expected to get the A19 chip (first used in iPhone 17). AirPods 5 are in the works with an H3 chip for better sound and lower latency, while next-gen AirPods Pro may include an infrared camera for in-air gestures, benefiting Vision Pro integration. The Apple Watch Ultra 4 remains in development but may not see an annual refresh. An M5 Max iMac (possibly reviving the iMac Pro) is under testing, and Apple's AI Smart Glasses—camera-equipped, display-less glasses rivaling Meta's Ray-Bans—could be announced in 2026 before a 2027 launch.

2027 and Beyond: What's on the Horizon

Some products originally expected for 2026 have slipped. The iPhone 18 and iPhone 18e are slated for spring 2027 under a new split launch strategy. The AirPods Max may be refreshed in 2027 with reduced weight and the H2 chip. The iPad Pro will get an M6 chip and vapor chamber cooling in 2027, and a 24-inch OLED iMac is expected the same year. Apple is also planning a second-generation iPhone Air (with dual cameras) and a spectacular 20th Anniversary iPhone featuring a curved-edge enclosure with no bezels or display cutouts, launching in September 2027. Finally, the tabletop robot (J595) with a thin robotic arm is targeted for 2027, offering a more powerful home hub experience.

With over a dozen new devices across 2026 and into 2027, Apple is clearly investing heavily in both evolutionary upgrades and breakthrough form factors. The foldable iPhone and OLED MacBook Pro alone represent the most significant design shifts in years. As always, all rumors are subject to change, but the trajectory points to an unprecedented hardware cycle.
